If it helps, one of the users on MN runs a nursery vaguely in that neck of the woods I believe (bubble99) - here's the site (it doesn't look good in a Mac browser but works fine on a PC browser).

Are you looking for places for both children? It's good to look at a few nurseries, you can also have a look at their most recent OFSTED report (you can do this online by going to the OFSTED website.) We have a new nursery in Hampton which is not far from Twickenham. Our age range is from 18 months to five years so if you were looking for a place for your two year old we could accomodate you.

Teddies is a chain nursery and Tic Toc is independant. I have heard mixed reports about both but you'd need to go along and see for yourself. I believe that first impressions speak volumes, the 'feel' of the nursery can tell you a lot.

Good luck select. It's a big decision to make. Ask lots of questions, particularly about staff to child ratios, staff qualifications and nutrition. Let us know how you get on.

I visited Tic Toc recently and it has a wonderful 'cottagy' and homely atmosphere.

The rooms all look really comfy and inviting - the children all looked really happy - MAJOR points as far as I'm concerned!!

Not sure how the staff are treated and what the turn over in that department is - I guess you'd need to ask.

I have two friends whos children attend and their older siblings attended also - really happy there.

I've herd nothing about Teddies but think alot of mummies are put off because it's a chain.

I used to be a Nursery Nurse and am now a childminder! When my little boy is 3, I hope to get his pre-schooling at Tic oc's.

Good luck.

There's another thread somewhere about re. Teddies nurseries, and it's not very positive!
