Nurseries in Durham City

Any help would be really appreciated: dw and I currently have a 1yr dd, for whom we use a childminder (dw works 4-day weeks at present whilst I work away during the week, getting home 9ish on a Friday night and leaving at sparrow's fart on a Monday). This has worked really well but said childminder is moving away next year, about the same time that dw's second period of maternity leave ends (she is currently 17/40 pregnant).

Basically, any opinions on nurseries in Durham City would be seriously appreciated, given that we need to find care for at least 3 days a week for a 6 month old and an almost 2yr dd - assuming of course, that this pregnancy 'works' (sadly I see enough that don't to strip me of any assumptions). Thank you in advance for any responses.

Try the Kids First nursery at the hospital - I know several people who have used their other nurseries (eg North Tyneside, Ashington, Quorum) including us and have been very happy with them. If it's like the Newcastle one it opens 7:30 to 6.
