Hi. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of nurseries/pre-schools opening on Saturdays and Sundays? If so, do many people use weekend child care services? I know this a random post but Im curious!

No sorry. Have never heard of any nurseries open at the weekends.

I think hospital nurseries may open weekends, my nursery apparently does Saturdays upon request, imagine you have to pay a hefty premium for them though and I have never known them to be used.

afaik none of the ones near us do this, but if your child goes to a nursery, one of the staff might be interested in babysitting (i think this is okay as long as you aren't poaching them)

Think a couple near us have tried it, but wasn't popular enough so stopped. Qite a few minders do it around here though.
