If I have swine flu?

I think I may have swine flu, although have managed to struggle downstairs and do dd stuff. Going to phone docs later. My daughter is symptom free. inamorata assuming she should not go to nursery today. Swine flu has already hit there.

If you keep her off without symptoms then you could be keeping her off for ages!
DD1 had it but none of us have caught it. Also kids in my dns school and other friends we see v regularly. If I were you I'd send her unless she actually gets symtoms. What do the actual nursery suggest?

mummynumnum · 23/07/2009 07:12

She was meant to be off today anyhow so will send her in tomorrow if she remains symptom free. Thanks for advice

That's ok. Hope you feel better soon x

I work in a nursery and we wouldn't expect you to keep her off if she is not ill
some parents have done
but we only ask children to stay at home if they are ill
we are being extra keen to send ill children home at the moment, a slight temperature or any other indication and we are on the phone
hope you feel better soon

oh poor you mummynumnum hope you feel better soon, agree that your dd is fine to go to nursery unless she has symptoms - however, our nursery will not allow parents with swine flu to drop off/pick up - does yours have this policy? Is there anyone else that can take her in?

mummynumnum · 23/07/2009 08:31

Husband can take her later if I dont hold up! I would not want to drop her off if I potentialy have it. She has a runny nose so not sure if that is a symptom!!
