I'm wondering if any Nurseries have any info regarding charging fee's if settings have to close due to swine flu.
Would you give refund, or charge full fee?
I'm a CM but finding to find any guidance

Of course you charge as normal. Otherwise you'd go bankrupt and how would that help anyone?

Our insurance would cover us for loss of earnings. We would give parents a full refund for the days the nursery was closed, once the insurance payment came through.

Thanks for your reply Bubble, I'm with NCMA (Royal Sun Alliance) and apparently they don't cover for this eventuality, can't say I'm surprised

Thanks again much appreciated

dd's nursery gave us an extra day free when they closed for snow, or a credit to your account if your child was full time.

unsure what would happen if they closed for more than just a day
