Overpayment at nursery

I have recently found out that I have been overpaying my day nursery by around £23 per week since January, which adds up to almost £500 credit on my account.
The nursery didn't tell me, I happened to notice a price list pinned up in the managers office and thought the figures didn't add up.
I spoke to the manager this morning who laughed it off and said she'd have a look today and maybe I could pay a proportion of the fees and the rest come off the credit until its all used up.

Am I within my rights to ask for all of the credit to be returned?

If anyone could offer any advice it would be much appreciated.

IME it will depend on what your contract says, if your rate is different then I doubt you will get a refund.
