Exposure to the sun at nursery

I have noticed that children at the nursery my baby goes to are playing in the sun for about an hour between 1 and 2pm. They should not be exposed to the sun at lunchtime at all. How do I ensure that my child is in the shade or inside? Any ideas?

Sunblock and a sun hat.

Unless they are wearing suncream, a hat and in the shade FGS we're in England not India

At the nurseries DS has been at, the babies were always in the shade if really sunny (with sunblock and hats), and everyone else was in sunblock and hat.

If it was 12-1, it would be slightly different, but they should all be out as much as possible when it's nice

Um...it's May. It's not that hot. A bit of sunshine is not going to hurt anyone. Perhaps worry a little more if you're in Australia.....

I thought someone was reading The Sun Newspaper in your baby's nursery

I got surburnt last week. In the farking North as well.

The sun is strong at this time of year, and even if it doesn't feel warm, you can burn. It was cool enough enough for me to be wearing a jumper, but my face still burnt.

In the nursery I have recently been workng at they check the UVA every morning. If it is level 5 or above they don't go out between 11 and 3 and when they do they put sunhats and suncream on. If it is lebl 3 or 4 they go out but with cream and hats on. Under level 3 it's fine to go out.
