dd has always been stroppy. she's been much better since starting her day nursery but she definately still has her moments. i was surprised to find out this week that she is as good as gold at nursery and doesnt throw any tantrums at all. they seemed quite surprised when i commented on her "home personality". i was intrigued and couldnt figure it out...would love to know their secret!

IME it's quite normal, nightowl. They generally have to act up somewhere and psychologically home should be where they feel secure enough to do it. (Some kids don't act up anywhere of course.)

I have known one or two kids who are angelic at home and little shits at school and that's wrong - tends to be an indication of attachment problems with parents.

Agree with janh. It's too stressful to be good everywhere.
