3 year old's first week at nursery

My DD had her second morning at nursery today. She was very tearful when I dropped her off and then when I picked her up she was sitting on her own while all the other children were playing. Apparently she'd been tearful all morning and not joined with any activities. Also when I gave her a cuddle I noticed she'd wet herself and noone had noticed. She's normally reliably potty trained but I think she was too insecure to ask. It absolutely broke my heart to see her looking so unhappy and when I think about it it makes me cry. Anyone else been through a similar experience and does it get better soon?

Does she have to go? i.e. are you going back to work or having another baby?

Is she ready for nursery? (My dd is only 2 and I can't imagine her being ready for nursery in 6 months.)
