Nursery owners / managers - if you were interviewing for a nursery asst, what sort of questions would you be asking....

My little sister has an interview on Monday, and although I'm sure she'd be absolutely fab for the job, she's never had an interview before in her life, so I'm sure she'll get really nervous!

Any links to suggested reading would be great too.

Haven't got a link, but the system of teaching that is used by nursery/childminder/reception class has just changed to the EYFS, that would be worth reading up on so she knows a bit about how the nursery has to operate for Ofsted.

make sure she's up on safeguarding children, keeping vigilant, not letting anyone in without ID, checking equipment for damage etc. I got a question worded "how would you safeguard the children here?"

What would you do if a problem arose between you and another staff member? (Keep professional and dont let it show infront of children. Talk it through, ask for help from management if necessary)
