Acute back pain, need treatment, no childcare. Advice on nursery or baby sitter

I have no support and need to fix my back through physio atleast twice a week and need someone to look after my 9 month old. He’s due to start nursery when he is 1 year and 1 month. Should I start him early at the nursery doing 2 half days 8-1 for £45 a day or hire a baby sitter to come to my house for 2 hours at around £18 an hour or take him to a childminder who cares for many babies in her at home nursery setting for £12 an hour. I understand nursery has cctv and follow certain protocols which make me feel safer but also there’s many children there who will be bigger and walking (my baby is only just crawling) I don’t know any baby sitter or any recommendations unfortunately. I’m scared and struggling. I’m in ilford. Any advice please

Given he’s going to go to the nursery anyway I’d definitely start him there earlier rather than trying to sort a babysitter or having a childminder for just a few months. For starters there could be a real advantage to starting him earlier- I think it’s often easier to settle a baby than a young toddler and if you went down the childminder route he’d settle there then quickly be moved to nursery which isn’t fair. You’re also presumably very happy with the nursery, because why else would you have chosen it, but a babysitter is always going to be something of an unknown and as with all people doing casual work there’s a real risk of them being unreliable. I’d also expect the nursery to have a proper baby room and other non walkers- have you asked?

Thank you so much replying, this has really helped me. The nursery has a baby room and it’s for under 2’s so 3month to 2 years… there’s in the same space but the walkers are aloud to go to a second section with more toys and walking area but they are still allowed in the non walkers area. When I visited all babies were atleast 1.5 years plus so that’s the only thing that worried me as he’d be the youngest

I’d do the nursery option if he’s going to go there anyway, it’ll help him settle in.
You can check with the nursery what age other babies are there but they’re usually used to dealing with 6 months plus, there maybe just weren’t any there on the day you visited.
