Questions about funding code for pre-school

My child is moving from a nursery to a preschool attached to a primary school. I have just found some forms they want me to fill in about funding which I didn't see and it says to return before the school closes. It has now of course closed for the summer.

I already have a funding code from the previous nursery in the LA and there will be no overlap in terms, but if I get the forms to the preschool now in September does that mean it's too late and I will miss out? Spiralling a little as we can't afford it without funding.

Someone may be monitoring emails over the summer so get the code in asap and keep your fingers crossed.

Will depend on the preachool. They can technically still claim but (in our LA) they wont be paid until the end of term if they haven't been able to submit your child on the estimates portal (ours closed at the end of this term for Autumn). Some preschools run tight margins and won't be able to take on a child with no payment for nearly 4 months.

Where our preschool is the claim closes on 9th Sept so as long as your code is revalidated by 1st Sept We wouldn't have an issue with this. I cannot imagine they would want to reallocate a space at the start of a new year if you have a valid code

It will be ok to send them now. Just make sure your eligibility code has been confirmed for the autumn term.

We had to apply before the end of July for the bulk of our children but we will be able to apply for new children early September too.
