Redundancy and funded hours

I have been made redundant, so will loose DD2s 30 hours, and the window is now open for me to reconfirm my details. I have updated my details to say unemployed, but then it won’t let me resubmit the form. Just takes me back to the employment part of the form, and says I’m not eligible. But it won’t actually resend the form with the new details on, so as far the gov website is confirm I haven’t reconfirmed my details yet. This window ends on 20th June. So what do I do now? Just leave it and they’ll assume I’m not continuing with the application? I just don’t want to be penalised for not doing it right.
Also would the code actually stop working in June or do I continue to get her 30 hours until the end of the summer term? I’m sure I’ve read that online.

There is a grace period of 3 months after reconfirmation in the event of redundancy. Call HMRC if the forms are confusing. They are a bugger to get hold of but helpful when you do.

@Didimumthat’s what I was trying to avoid, it’s my last resort!

I know what you mean. But I have had to call them a number of times in the past and they have always been very helpful.

You'll be in a grace period, at least til 31st August possibly longer - you can ask your childcare provider to check for you.

Don't worry about reconfirming now, it doesn't make a difference. Reapply when you have a new job.

That’s what the form did when we filled it out to declare we were no longer eligible. It has saved the response so it just won’t reconfirm and you’ll get an email when your window expires saying action is required to reconfirm but you can ignore that.

We also had a grace period until 31 August. Call your childcare provider and they can check when your grace period will end.

I think you can still get them if you are claiming new style JSA?

Ah that’s ok then if it’s the normal process
, I was just worried that I’d be in the wrong if it didn’t actually submit the new application, but that’s all fine then!
