Hi,
I'm moving to Tottenham at the end of July and am looking for recommendations of nurseries for my 17 month DD there. Am prepared to go to wood green palmers green edmonton and enfield for good nurseries. Any help greatly appreciated

Hi Bungamama, my son goes to Park Lane children's nursery in N17 I looked at a number of options before settling there (altough admittedly ot as far out as you are suggesting). The staff there are well eperienced. My DS was 14 months when he started and has really thrived in that enviroment and his development has been brilliant since he started. The meals they make are nutritious, they are govt regulated (for what it's worth). Negatives - their administration team took a while to get child care vouchers going and on one occasion didn't give parents enough notice about a plan to close early. My only bug bear is that they do often call for what I think are trivial reasons but in some respects I would prefer for them to ask me to come and get him so I am making the crucial decisions about what to do when he's sick!

I really hope this helps you and hope you are successful in finding something suitable, I know how important it is! Also gimme a shout when you finally move - I am dying to meet other working mums in the area!

Hi bungamama, whereabouts in Tottenham are you moving to? I'm in the south west of this area. A lot of the Council's children's centre nurseries like Park Lane have a good reputation, my 13 month old ds goes to a childminder because I didn't think I would be able to find a nursery place. But I've been to a baby group at Broadwater Farm which seemed lovely (before I went back to work in March).
