Nurseries in Hove

Have just moved to the area and looking for two days of nursery for my 3 year old. Have seen Blueberry nursery recommended but they have a huge waiting list! Has anyone tried Cbabiesafe? It's really near me so would be great. Also any advice on schools in the area? Sounds like there really isn't much here that isn't a faith school! Sorry for all the questions and thankyou for your help!

Hi Simbaline

My two boys are both at Hopscotch Nizells Ave (opposite St Ann's Well's Gardens) and can highly recommend it - very nice staff and my boys have always been very happy there. A friend of mine's daughter is at Cbabies and she seems happy with it, though it's VERY expensive

Thankyou furrycat- will have a look at hopscotch this week I think as I've heard good reports elsewhere too. Might go and have a look at Cbabies too and pretend I've got lots of money!

My boys went to the Hopscotch in Preston Park and it was excellent. I live in Hove now but know nothing about nurseries here!

my dd goes to Playcare on Windlesham road. I'm not sure it's got a fantastic reputation, but we have been very happy with it.

oh, I've not heard of cbabies- where is it?

(furrycat, did your boys go to Hopscotch as babies? I want to look at a nursery for ds2 who will be 10 months when I go back to work).

Early Years is great as well. My DS went to the one in Preston Park, but there is also one up Dyke Road. They are pretty useful if you need to move around as well as there are about 9 of them scattered throughout Sussex and you can move from one t'other pretty easily.

Oh, Home from Home good too. I think it is up New Church Road, going towards Portslade.

Good luck!

Hi Pollyanna - yes they both went there as babies - one at 11 months, the other at 7 months (I put the younger one in earlier because I needed to go back to work and knew the care would be excellent there) There are only six in the baby room and the staff are so lovely. Really recommend it. It has a lovely big garden too.
