Is 4 days a week too much?

My LO has been going to a childminder 3 mornings (6hrs) per week since he was 6 months old. He will be 1 in 3 weeks. He absolutely loves it there, his little legs kick and he literally jumps out of my arms when he sees her! Unfortunately, we have to start at a nursery when he turns 1 due to her having too many holidays and 2 young kids which can be quite unpredictable. He will be doing 8-4 4 days a week, is this too much!?!?? I feel soooo guilty, but just wanted to know if other parents are having to do this as we don't have any grandparents that can help. :(

What does 'too much' mean?
If you need 4 days childcare he has to go 4 days.
If you don't need 4 days then send him less!

My DD went 7.45-5.30 4 days a week from 13 months and was absolutely fine. We chose the setting carefully. She is 6 now and she has so many happy memories of nursery, she still sees some of the staff and was always happy to go and never cried.
It doesn’t suit all children but DD thrived.
