Putney Nursery recommendations

Hi everyone,

I’m starting to look at nurseries in Putney for my son who turns three in December this year, so he’ll be starting in January 2027 and we’ll be eligible for the 15 hours government funding.

I’ve noticed that some nurseries advertise the funded hours but then charge additional fees on top (for consumables, meals, etc.). I just want to understand how different settings structure this.

I’m not specifically looking for somewhere with absolutely no additional fees — I’m completely happy to pay for extras. I’d just really appreciate honest experiences about how the funded hours are applied and whether the extra charges feel reasonable and transparent.

Would love recommendations (and any to avoid!), plus experiences of:
• What additional charges you pay
• How flexible they are with sessions

Thank you so much 😊

All settings are required to have these details on their website. Much quicker as this is an international site and these requests never gather too many responses.

@Nickyknackered I understand but I want to find out if its essential to pay for the additional fees and if any other parents has opted out

what do you mean by ‘how flexible they are with sessions’?

MaBee91 · 04/03/2026 12:15
