I June 2025 I became a contractor kn a fix term contract until end of March 2026.
We found out we were pregnant in October and due in June 2026 with our 2nd. Our 1st is 3.

My question is would we still quailify for nursery funding 15/30hrs whilst Im kn maternity leave? My husband is still working and has no desire to change jobs etc. Hes been his job for at least a decade

If your contract is ending you will then be unemployed. You’ll get the universal 15 hours for your 3 year old but not the additional 15 hours for working people.

Will you be on maternity leave though if you're not working at the time? Or are you going to get another job before your due date? If your contract ends in March then you wouldn't be on leave from work so I don't think you'd get the hours.

Agree with this although it's likely your code will still be valid until 31st August and from September you'll just get the 15 hours.
