Kingsland Chelsea nursery shut down!!

Anyone have any insight into what happened at Kingsland?? Parents received a dramatic message that it was to be shut down on the 31st of December 2025!!!

Have they had an inspection recently? The most common reason for a sudden shut down is failing ofsted badly. They usually open again shortly after with a new name.

Their previous reports (2016,2019) were "Good". The next one was (2023) was "Requires improvement". Probably failed and shut before the latest was released.

Yes, apparently a failed Ofsted report but they sent parents an email saying they would reopen by Jan 6th? We don’t have much other info, it’s baffling?!?

I’m asking for my friend who’s daughter goes there - she is quite confused & concerned as to what’s going on. It’s shocking how little information they are providing, what a disgrace for a school that claims to so great 😳

Any further updates on the situation? Normally there is a bad ofsted report or safeguarding concern listed but nothing. Btw the poster above who said previous reports were good and requires improvement are incorrect - they just had a single 2022 "outstanding" one.

Are you sure that’s Kingsland? I heard it might be an accident on the stairs? Is this really this dire??

Also heard stairs was the issue however the features in the article do seem to point to Kingsland. Horrific if it is true!

What was the accident on the stairs?

So it was indeed an aide / music teacher who was accused of inappropriate behavior. He is being investigated while on leave & school is supposed to reopen in March. No one believes that’s the “full story” given the school is still shut down.

Kingsland is still closed and apparently more than one child has been affected so the article must surely relate to that school. The police has been contacting parents of children affected. It’s so awful to even think about what could have happened.

Has anyone heard anything else on Kingsland?
