How can I re-regulate LO to go back into childcare

My LO is 3 and a half and previously attended 2 x nursery settings with no problems.

When he turned 3 I moved him to another setting to help with school readiness and within 3 months he became unrecognisable at the setting to what he is at home/had been at previous settings: throwing, hitting, bitting, causing damage.

I took him out and returned him to a previous setting he had been happy at but he never re-settled and after just 3 days there, after throwing a huge tantrum and destroying furniture shortly after dropping him off, I am without any childcare for him and at a complete loss as to how to support him. He’s such a loving, helpful, friendly boy at home!

He tells me that he just wants to be with me which melts my heart but in the long term, I need to work full time as I am the sole earner plus he will need to attend compulsory education next year.

I’m meeting with a childminder next week to see if a smaller, more homely setting would suit him.

Anyone else experienced this Jekyll/Hyde situation? Any other advice on how to support him welcome!!

Did the previous setting say he could not attend or did you take him out?

He was doing fine at the previous settings. When I moved him to the school readiness one, he ended up being out in reduced hours but didn’t improve.
