Self employed declaration for tax free childcare

My partner is self employed (limited company) and doesn’t pay himself a regular wage.
As part of our tax free childcare declaration he’s been asked to provide a letter from his accountant proving income. However, his accountant isn’t familiar with this and so doesn’t know what to include within the letter.
Has anyone had to provide this? If so, please can you advise what should be included within the letter. I’ve been desperately trying to find a template online but can find nothing… the helpline is equally unhelpful!

i wouldn’t overthink it. Just get the accountant to tell them what they have asked - which is how much income he has. It needs to be over the threshold to qualify but there’s some flexibility for self employed people is their earnings are lumpy. How much does he earn a year roughly?

He needs to be earning £196 per week to be eligible
