Nursery CCTV footage

My non-verbal autistic child got hurt at nursery and they said they are not sure what happened even after viewing CCTV footage.. Can i ask to see the CCTV footage

You can ask but they may say no. Especially if it highlights any errors on their part. What did the accident report say? How did they explain lack of witnesses? Are you generally happy with the nursery otherwise?

It is likely that there will be other children in the footage as well as the staff and your child. So the nursery has to consider - would other parents be happy about you viewing the footage with their children on. If you discovered that the nursery had been showing other parents video of incidents that may have included your child on screen, would you be okay with that.
