Does a sensitive child ever settle

Hi all,
We have a 2.5yo DD. Shes very sensitive to change and isn't great in unfamiliar or group settings, not good with strangers. We need to get her into nursery but I'm worried she won't cope with it.
Have any of you with similar children been through this? Do they eventually get used to it?
Thanks

Almost always yes. But there are a few children who never settle. You won't know until you try. Good luck.

A relatively small number of neurodiverse children who find mainstream school challenging for social/emotional reasons aside - how many 4/5yo children do you know who don't start at reception because they are sensitive? Some children are more shy than others, some maybe cope better with a smaller school versus a large three form entry one. But largely children get more comfortable with things like being in a setting with other children and adults by being exposed to them.
