Looking for a bit of reassurance ♥️
This is our 3rd week and baby is still really unhappy and spends most of the day miserable. How long did it take for your baby to adjust? I feel so sad about it.

It can take a good few months at this age to settle. How often does he go? You are at peak separation anxiety time as well.

@LuckysDadsHat I love that you knew it was a he 😂
He is going three days a week. It’s just so unexpected because he is such a social little thing so I thought he would roll with it no problem. The nursery manager said they haven’t seen a baby respond this badly in a long time which made me feel awful. I don’t know whether I should consider trying to find a childminder but I liked the more formalised side with a nursery that you don’t get with a childminder. It’s so hard!

Stick with it.
it does get better

So 4 weeks to stop crying at drop off and 6 weeks to start enjoying it

Give it time. Some take to it really quickly (DS went in no problem but he was 8 months).
DD is starting next week and she's currently 10 months old. We're abroad this time and the system is different. Her settling in is scheduled to last 6-8 weeks. For the first week, we'll just be there for an hour or so and I'll be with her. She's only staying until noon for the first month. Eventually (when I return to work), she'll be signed up for a full time spot (7.30am-5pm) but I'll most likely be able to pick her up at about 2pm.
