Funded hours code

Is the funded childcare for working parents code the same for 30 hours as it is for the 15? DS turned 3 last week so we will qualify for the 30 hours from September. We currently get 15 hours a week funded hours (which he got from age 2), and I got the code for this from our Tax Free Childcare account, which automatically generated it this time last year I think, once I reconfirmed our details. I have just reconfirmed for this period. The code has stayed the same in our account/they haven’t given us a second code to give to nursery to use for the 30 hours. Will the system just realise he’s eligible for 30 and not 15 come September when nursery input the code (we fill out a form and re-provide them with it every term), or do I have to apply somewhere else to get it and get a new code? Don’t want to miss any deadlines if I need to do something different! TIA

Short answer: yes that's fine, it's submitted eith his DOB and your details and the system knows what you're eligible for. Same code, new expiry date.

Yes the same code will entitle you to 30 hours from September providing you reconfirm every 3 months as usual for it to remain valid.
