Recommendations nurseries in Blackheath

Hello everyone,

I am moving house (to Blackheath) and looking for a good nursery for my 2yo.

Can you please recommend good nurseries or even childminders?

First Steps Nursery – St Michael and All Angels Blackheath is a really lovely nursery, as is Conservatoire Nursery and Pre‑School - LEYF Nurseries. It's worth going to look at both as LEYF is the bigger facility and so you can see which you prefer.

Thank you! There is unfortunately an 18 month wait list for the Conservatoire that was my first choice :)

Ah okay! I'd definitely go and have a look at first steps in that case, I don't know if they currently have spaces though! It's not affiliated with the church, they just utilise the hall in there.

There wasn’t a nursery that was similar to the Conservatoir unfortunately. I decided to sign up for the Pointers nursery. You can sign up from the age of 3 (my daughter is almost 3). BusyBees Charlton had a nice homely feel to it. The kids looked happy and staff was engaged. I forgot the recommendation above it might be a good one. I didn’t visit the nursery.

It is best to go and visit all. Go with the one that ‘feels good’. I’ve hardheaded many recommendations that I didn’t like.
