Going to multiple nurseries/childcare mix, how was your experience?

Hi everyone

Just wondering if at any point, did your children split time in 2 different nurseries at the same time? Or perhaps attending a nursery part time and then receives a different childcare input for the rest?

If so, how did your little ones find the varied schedules? Especially if it happened when they were just older than 1 yo?

I'm wondering as my husband and i are struggling to plan out childcare and it's likely when our LO turns 1, we may have to take our LO to 2 different nurseries during the weekdays.

Im worried that this might be too disruptive and they might not tolerate it. It's hard to know how the LO will be like by then (he's only just a few weeks old).

Why? Is there not a space for them in one full time? I have known childcare share between a nursery and a childminder. Two nurseries might be tricky as different routines sleep etc

We used nursery two days and a childminder 3 days. Same days every week. The girls loved both and we felt there were plenty of benefits of the mix. It was a while ago but I can't remember much in the way of drawbacks

I used 2 providers for a while. My ex changed jobs and we could no longer cover one of the days. It was fine. My dd settled better there (childminder) than the nursery. She is now on ASD pathway so I do wonder if the nursery issue was it was too noisy and busy for her.

My LO goes to two nurseries currently, and it doesn’t faze her or us at all. She loves both for different reasons. I have one I prefer from a location and communication point but they don’t have space for 4 days a week at the moment.

I don’t notice that it affects her routine much, but we’re not a routine family in general.
