9 month 30 hours funding

Hey, I’m a bit confused on the eligibility criteria

My partner works full time

I don’t currently work but I do get DLA and carers allowance for my eldest child who has a severe disability

Would we still be eligible for the 30 hour funding of childcare? I know it’s 15 at the moment but by the time we’d want to put our little one in nursery it goes up to 30 hours in September 2025 I believe

Have you looked at childcarechoices.gov.uk?

It doesn’t make it particularly clear only on the 3-4 year funding, but I’m gathering the eligibility criteria may be the same?

I believe if you receive carers benefit you definitely get the 15 hours and it’s my understanding the eligibility hasn’t changed for 30 hours

This is from the government website, looks like you’d qualify?

If you’re not currently working
You may still be eligible if your partner is working, and you are on carer’s leave or if you get any of the following:

  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Severe Disablement Allowance
  • Carer’s Allowance
  • Limited Capability for Work Benefit
  • contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance

Oh my bad, I only saw that in relation to the 3-4 year old funding I didn’t see it on the 9 month + ☺️ thank you!
