Which days should I send DS to nursery?

We need to put DS in nursery 2 days per week. We currently have all 5 days reserved as we didn’t know which days we’d need.

Option 1: Wednesday and Friday
Option 2: Wednesday and Thursday
Option 3: Thursday and Friday

Is it better going two days in a row?

Are some days busier than others (i know each nursery will be different)?

Do nurseries do similar activities on all days?

thanks in advance 😊

Wed and Thursday so if you take a long weekend you don't have to pay for a place you aren't using?

I'd go Wednesday and Friday,
My friend who works in a nursery advised us to do Mon and Thurs or Tues and Fri if we were only doing 2 days so that the gap in-between days from one week to the next wasn't so big

It has probably changed a bit since I needed to care, but cottage/Centre-Parc style places tended to be Monday-Friday and Friday-Monday.

I chose nursery on Fridays in the vain hope DD would sleep in the car after a busy day if we were heading somewhere and Tuesdays as I could catch up on work/chores after family visits.

Also look at toddler clubs etc if that's what you want to do.

Personally I think it's better to keep the days together, it seemed an easier routine. Often the same children to make friends with and activities aren't usually repeated 2 days in a row.

However, having said that, I often wonder if a split week would be better when they are inevitably ill. They may miss a day but there's more chance they'll get better before their next session if there's a day in between.

Doing something for two days straight helps you get into a routine and process things better, so I say option 2 or 3.

How old is your child? If they are younger then the wed and Fri option would be best.

In my experience Fridays are quieter as people like the long weekends. There's often also more toddler groups and activities running on Fridays, in my area at least.

Wednesday and Thursday

Fridays quiet

Thete are friday bank holidays so you'll be paying for that day even though nursery is closed in most cases.

Fridays are quietest because people like to have long weekends. They tend to have a more relaxed vibe about them too. Mondays are next quietest.

I'd go for Thursday and Friday out of those.
