How to apply for funding hours - I'M SO CONFUSED

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on sending the little one to nursery in September - she will be 2 at the start of Sept. I've booked a couple of show rounds at some nurseries in the next few weeks. However they keep asking me if I will be eligible for the funding. I've checked and I am. I'm just not sure what to do next. Do I apply for the funding now even though I don't want it to start until September? Do I need to have a nursery place confirmed before I do this? I literally don't have a clue what I'm doing. Please help

No point applying yet as you have to reconfirm every 3 months. Do it in approx early July.

You probably wont be eligible until January 2026, as it starts the term after they turn 2.
Cut off is usually 31st August.

Funded hours eligibility starts at 9months now so OP's baby will be eligible straight away.

D'oh of course, that was a stupid mistake I made, sorry.
