Nurseries in Barnet - Woodlands and Headstart

Help! I've visited both of these nurseries
Woodlands (childbase) and Headstart (on station road) and I have to pick one!

Does anyone have any experience of either? I just don't know what is best - Adam will be nearly a year when he starts but I have to register now in order to get a place at either

My daughter (now 3 and a Rainbow) has been at Headstart since she was 11 months old. She loves it there and we are very happy with it. The outdoor space is wonderful and they do try to get the kids out as much as possible - trips to the park, Sainsburys, etc.

I visited both when I started my Maternity Leave - was put off Woodlands because of the cost and, out of the 4 nurseries in the area I visited, it was the only one where I could smell poo when I walked into the baby room!

Thanks that confirms my gut feelings - Woodlands seems lovely and much more organised that headstart but the little ones in the babies room seemed unhappy somehow.

UPSETT I think we understand that you had a bad experience at headstart but do you need to revive every old posting on barnet nurseries to discuss your views. I have been and still am pleased with DD care at headstart barnet. Your experience was clearly unfortunate but it also isn't neccesarily representative.
