15 hours funded + changing nursery mid month

Hello,

We're moving our 1 year old to a nursery closer to where I work. We use the 15 hours funding. Baby moves mid month.

The 15 hours are factored into the current nursery's invoice, and will be used for the final invoice which will be the first two weeks of next month.

Can I just give the new nursery the code, and will they be able to use it for their first invoice for the second half of the month? Or will they only be able to use it next month? Or, gulp, next term?

Am adrift- didn't really take this into account when we were doing our planning and now feeling a bit nervous. We can afford the full fee for a bit but would require a period of intense frugality....

Which month?

Most LAs will have had their headcount day for this term now so it will be after Easter now I'm afraid.

The first nursery should be able to do a mid term transfer to the second, so it should be seemless. It might depend on the LA, but that's how it should work.

Two quite different answers!
Yes, it's a mid Feb swap. I've just reconfirmed my code so it's valid until May. Same LA for both nurseries.

The truth is, it depends on your LA! Ours doesn't force us to pass the funding on to the new setting, it's voluntary.

But it would be too late for the new setting to make a direct claim, it would already be attributed to the first setting. The new setting may not be happy to wait to see if the old setting pay them.

Other LAs might have different ways of dealing with it.

What LA is it? Some of us might know the answer but as others have said it's entirely down to how the LA process/count.
