Merry Xmas. Not for some. The plan was to have a kick az Xmas. Now that’s a no. Due to my toddler bringing back yet another bug.
I am at a crossroads you see. With his nursery that he only can attend part time. Sure, these places are breeding grounds for germs, yes parents at times feel they have no choice but to send their kids unwell, and yep I understand about building up immunity.
Okay, I send him to school November. Hesitant because of the bug in October. He’s a clean child unlike many others. Week one nov, a chest infection and cold. Week 3 foot and mouth. December rolls on. Missed his nativity due to ear infection and virus. Overheard mums talking about their kids being unwell yet they kept bringing them to school, some of them don’t even work. Anyway, after Alex is fine… I bring him back for the last 3 days of school. When school finished Friday, my tummy hurts… norovirus now this is taken my house down.
Yes unfortunately I am aware of these things being common. But the point is here I have had enough. Everyone is entitled with perhaps notice to cancel their placement at school. But what I want from you guys is, to know who else has sick kids at Xmas? To know what you would do about going forward without the silly remarks…
I’ve seen everything during my time as a parent as a worker. I’ve seen cleaners wiping surfaces and things with baby wipes, I’ve seen doctors at hospitals during Covid not washing their hands, I’ve seen teachers and staff handling things like animals n then prepping food without cleaning. Yep. But I’ve also seen the sheer volume of parents, without sense not always without a choice, so selfish, insensitive and narrow minded. And so it’s six of one.., ya get me!
Yeh people have jobs. I do. People don’t have support from family, I don’t, people have other things as well to maintain. Hard to do right now though.
cheers
