What would be a safe treat to take into nursery for the other babies please? My baby is turning 1

Have you asked the nursery? I doubt they would be keen on this for all sorts of reasons.

This is usually something for school or maybe preschoolers. 1 year is too young for treats.

SquigglePigs · 11/12/2024 21:19

I wouldn't at that age but if you're desperate to then how about a tropical fruit platter.

MamaWeasel · 11/12/2024 21:23

Nothing

CCLCECSC · 11/12/2024 21:48

I would ask nursery first but fruit is probably safest but be mindful of allergies.

we always took in a nut free cake for ours, the nursery confirmed this beforehand.

BarnacleBeasley · 12/12/2024 13:56

Our nursery bakes with the children for birthday treats. We're not encouraged to bring stuff in. They have really strict rules about sugar content too.

PastaAndProse · 12/12/2024 14:09

Our nursery were fine with little cakes being taken in but they had to be shop bought and still in the packaging with the ingredients list clearly visible. They also couldn't be eaten on nursery premises, but were handed out to parents at the end of the day. It's not really worth bothering, is the conclusion I came to.

I've never heard of this for one year olds. They don't even know it's their birthday.

I asked nursery today and they're happy with cake! As they do a little sing song and put a hat on baby! I'd be fine if the staff/parents are it though

I took in a cake and got the other babies some chocolate buttons.
