Currently receiving the 2 year old 15 hours funding that was introduced in April. my DS turned 3 in September so will be entitled to 30 hours from January. i currently have to reconfirm the 15 hours every 3 months, does anyone know if i need to do anything in addition to the reconfirmation (next one isn't until mid-January) to then get the 30 hours or does it just increase automatically from January? can't find any info on the gov website.

my assumption is, based on my reconfirmation questions that it will just increase but interested to hear if others know differently.

No just keep reconfirming when required.

you may need to fill a form in for the childcare provider as you are increasing the number of hours you want them/authorise them to claim for.

In terms of being eligible for the hours, just keep re confirming.

To actually get the hours you need to have asked the nursery for the additional sessions

Nerdlings · 17/12/2024 18:46

It really does depends on whether your nursery has the space to accommodate the additional hours

You will get a code for 30 hours which you will need to give your nursery.

Thanks for the replies, I didn't need to do anything as the code remains the same and just need to keep reconfirming as someone else said so all good 😊 and I go the bill for Jan mid-December
