10m old not napping

My 10m old has started to refuse naps at nursery and I’m concerned he’s not getting enough sleep. At home he has 1.5hrs in the morning and around 1hr in the afternoon, I wouldn’t expect him to have as long at nursery but he’s having 1 nap about 40 minutes which leaves him tired and miserable, I’ve brought his bedtime forward but I think he’s so overtired that he just keeps waking up upset. He naps and plays in the same room which can be quite loud so he struggles with that but obviously there’s not much they can do about the noise. I work at the same nursery (different room) and hearing him crying for a lot of day is so hard but idk what else I can do to help him. Any tips? He has a dummy and have tried a blanket but that didn’t seem to help.

I was wondering if it’s the 10 month sleep regression but if he sleeps well at home it’s not that. How long has he been going to nursery? How many days is he in? Perhaps he just needs time to adjust, a familiar blanket/comforter could be good and maybe white noise too as it can help drown out other noise? It’s really difficult when they don’t have a separate sleep room. He will be needing less sleep as he gets older too, so hopefully it won’t become a big issue and is a temporary thing. It is hard though and especially hearing him cry! Are the nursery staff aware of his specific sleep cues? If they are very busy perhaps these are being missed, leading him to be over tired and not sleeping. I hope things improve soon!
