Clingy seperation anxiety after first day at nursery

Need advice and reassurance I suppose...my 14 month daughter has never been apart from me, (aside from the usual, going out with Dad, Nanny etc) and she had her first week of nursery. It was the first day I have ever left her alone without her dad or someone she knows very well.
Since I collected her she has honestly not left my side, she doesn't want Dad, Nanny, anyone to be near her, she just clings to my neck and wants to climb inside my skin and live in there. Will this ease? Is this normal? How do I reassure her ?

It's a massive change for her and perfectly normal for her to be clingy. Just continue with the cuddles and reassurance. It may take a while for her settle and you're her safe space so all her emotions will be centred on you. It will get easier. 🙂

Hi- I just wondered how your little boy is getting on with nursery now? My little boy is 19m old and basically word for word we are going through the same! If anything, starting nursery has made him more attached and same as you say he doesn't just cry he is hysterical and will not settle there. I ring up after an hour of dropping off and they say he is still unsettled. Now since he won't even settle with family members if we visit- I leave the room and he goes off like I'm leaving him again. I'm hoping this faze ends very soon! He has been attending nursery for 1 month now I'm wondering how long I leave it before just taking him out of nursery completely as it just feels like it's turned him into a totally different kid which upsets me! X

Has it got any better with the settling at nursery we're going through this now with our 19 month old?!

@JollyHostess101 yes!! He is finally getting used to it and seems to be back to his happy self out of nursery too, I get updates from the nursery app and he looks content enough playing and always get positive feedback when I pick him up. We honestly thought he'd never get there but perseverance and I think we've cracked it! Hope you do too x
