Brookland infant and nursery school HGS

Hi all,

in considering moving my little one who has secured a spot at the nursery here. I’ve heard it’s a good primary school (by state school standards!) and so moving her early before reception.. does anyone have update view on the school? All info seems to be quite outdated so I’d be really grateful to anyone who may have a little one in nursery / reception there and how their experience has been.

I know their ofsted rating has dropped (still good rated but was previously outstanding)

You probably won't get anyone with direct experience of that school stumbling across your post in this section of Mumsnet tbh - you'd be better off posting in a local group somewhere.

my daughter previously attended Brooklyn’s junior school from nursery until year 6. She achieved good SATS results and I am very pleased with the quality of teaching. Their ofsted score should not put you off as the have only dropped because often has made it much more difficult to get an outstanding. Although it is a state school, its facilities are quite good. They have a nice sized field and a big football pitch. Furthermore, the children have access to free swimming lessons in a newly upgraded swimming pool onsite. I do hope this is helpful.
