She was fine with bottles until she was around 7/8 months old then one day, she just decided she didn’t want it anymore. We’ve tried different brands of bottles and cups, even giving her formula milk as we thought maybe she doesn’t like the taste of warmed up breast milk (I breastfeed her but I used to do her last feed before bed with a bottle). She only has a couple of sips then pushes the bottle away. What’s weird is that, if we put water in the bottle then she would quite happily drink it?!
She started nursery this week and they couldn’t get her to drink anything either. They’ve tried different bottles and cups but she wouldn’t take any so she’s just been surviving on fruit pouches I brought in, water and food/snacks. I feed her in the morning before I drop her off then again before she goes to bed. I don’t know if I should be worried?? Would she be ok without milk all day?? She goes 2 days a week. She’s seems to be happy at nursery. Obviously it’s still early days but she’s quite happy to nap around 2 hours a day at nursery and playing with toys. They said she was a bit unsettled today as they had other new babies starting so they were kind of setting each other off.
Her sister was also breastfed but she took bottles so we never had anything to worry about as she was very happy to drink enough milk throughout the day at nursery, which I think might have helped her settle in a bit better and quicker.
