Hey everyone,
ftm here so a bit clueless on school starting ages etc
I’ve been looking at catholic nurseries to send my child too for September next year but upon receiving the forms I’ve realise she will still be 2 going to nursery.
her birthday is a week after school usually starts but I’m not sure if she can still go or if she will have to wait until the following January for the new intake.

has anyone else got a September baby and experienced this? I was told by my hv that I could hold off sending her until sept 26 meaning she would be just turning 4 and would be the oldest in her class but she’s just confused me more

Nurseries decide individually what ages they accept so you'll need to ask them. It isn't universal like school starting age.

It'll be the January intake she'll be eligible for. Some nurseries, if they have a low intake, may take some children the day after their third birthday, but not many do.
