hysterical toddler each morning!!!

I'm sure this must have been done before. dd goes to a nursery 3 times a week. When she was in the baby section she was fine, since they have moved her to the pre school (she's 2 and 2months)she cries as soon as we draw up outside and is hysterical when I hand her over. They say it only lasts 10 mins and is always fine when I pick her up but this has been going on for 6 weeks now with no improvement. Does anyone have any ideas or tactics to try and improve the 'handover' situation. I'd be really grateful as I am now finding it really traumatic myself!!!!!

I found with both of mine that the move from toddlers' room to the preschoolers' was a bit unsettling (usually because they "do" more things). I can't remember how long it lasted though. Has she got a teacher she likes the best already? Mine loved to be cuddled a bit by their fav member of the staff and loved to wave bye bye from the window.
