3 Year old hates nursery

Hi,
looking for some advice. My 3 year old son (literally only just turned 3) started nursery in April. Although he went in ok at first, with a few ups and downs during his time there, he has got progressively worse since he returned after half term. I had to collect him today after 2 hours because he continually cries for me. He was in a terrible state when I got there, but stops as soon as he is in my arms. I work from home so am able to collect him but it’s very hard to work at home with him. He has always been really clingy to me since he was born and I am just at a loss what to do. Summer holidays are coming up, maybe I should keep him home until the new term starts in September. I worry as he starts school next September and I want to prepare him for the change. He currently only does 2 mornings, but it due to go Monday- Thursday from September school hours. Help!

Personally I'd be looking into all the research that suggests summer born children are disadvantaged by the education system and maybe socially and emotionally your little boy needs more relationship based interactions in a smaller safer (emotionally) environment. In the interim I'd look for a nanny or a childminder instead of a nursery as he has two years ahead in which to feel nurtured and happy.
