Baby hasn’t settled well into nursery

DD turns 12 months in a couple of weeks and she started nursery last week so it’s still very early days but it’s proving a bit traumatic! The main problem is that she won’t eat when she’s there at all. She is teething which may partially account for this but she does eat at home, I’m just wondering when things may improve Sad

Last week? Eeerm read that back OP. If you were saying a whole term you would have a point but a week? It takes time. Imagine yourself settling into a new house or job. You would need some adapting time too but you have the ability to rationalize unlike a baby.

It's so hard I feel your pain, it took my toddler a good few months to settle and it was really tough but he loves it now.

@HcbSS all right, there’s always one 🙄

Thanks @Bey . It’s a bit of a worry that she isn’t eating or drinking when she’s there and am mostly just really hoping she adapts soon.

Neither of mine ate at first, DD1 it took a few weeks (and then it was like a switch flipped, she ate everything). DD2 was a bit quicker. I picked up a bit early until they started eating so that I could get two meals in before bedtime.

Do you feel like the staff are supporting you and her? Are they reassuring, do you feel like they are getting to know DD as an individual?
