Can I change my mind on nursery? Funded hours

I’ve signed my 2 boys up to a new nursery to start in September and on the sign up it asked for the 15 hour entitlement code. The more I’ve thought about it I’ve realised it’s not the right nursery for them and I’d like them to stay at the nursery they’re already at. Can I change my mind for September or is it too late because I’ve already given them the code?

Depends what you signed and what the nursery contract says.

What's the notice period for the new nursery? E.g. if notice period for new nursery is 2 months then you might just still have time of you tell them on Monday (as that is the 1st of July).

The notice period is 4 weeks! Thanks for giving me a bit of hope before I can call them on Monday.

Loads of time, the funding portal for Autum doesn't open till Sept and even after that there are 8 weeks or so to add or delete children to each setting.

Great. Give notice to the new nursery asap then (they may charge you an admin fee - should say in the contract) and let current nursery have the funding code. They'll need to have the code before the end of August to set it up on heir records so funding automatically starts from 1st Sept.

Just so you know, each LA uses different portals so submission windows will be different. We have a week open in July for estimates and then again in October for actuals.

Yes I do know but as you said resubmissions are always open into the Autumn term no matter what the LA so lots of time for OP's nursery to amend if necessary.
