Going 15 hours to 30

Hi

Would be grateful if anyone could help with my query. We've been claiming the 15 hours childcare and should become eligible for 30 hours in September as our son will turn 3 at the start of August.

Just wondered how we apply for the extra hours or is this automatic? There seems to be no option to do this in our existing childcare account and I can't seem to find much information online about the move from 15 hours to 30 hours if you are an existing user.

It will happen automatically. Just keep reconfirming your eligibility when asked to do so.

Thanks for asking OP! Was wondering the same the other day. Good to know @BusyCM ☺️

Don’t forget to ask your childcare provider too

You need to speak to your nursery as to whether they can actually offeryou any more hours, they may be full or have waiting lists.
