Nursery fees / funding !?

I feel like I can't get my head around this ! So my son will be 2 in October , do I apply for his nursery finding now or later ?

Also just wanted to gain Information regarding nursery fees. When my son gets his free hours ,nursery has now increased their ' top up ' fee from £4 a day to £18 !!

I'm going to presume this is happening everywhere ???

TIA

If he’s 2 in October he’ll get the funding from January. Yes the top up fees are increasing everywhere, yours is still quite low in comparison to some.

Thankyou 😃 I was getting really confused as I have seen Information about applying for funding for 9 month olds now for September. So I wasn't sure whether I applied now or later .

Oh yes assume this will be everywhere and your nursery may close with little notice

You'll be eligible from September for the 9-23 month funding.

If you already use tax free childcare, your code will be issued automatically when you next reconfirm your eligibility.

He'll be eligible for funding from September, as that's when the roll out for babies ages 9+ months starts.

Do you use tax free childcare? We do and we got the code for DD (she turns 2 this month) last month for us to use from September. It just came through automatically on the childcare site.
