Newly self employed - 30 free hours

Hi,
My daughter is about to turn 3 so I need to sort out our funded childcare hours. My husband works full time and I have recently set-up an Etsy business as self-employed. From my understanding we should still qualify for the 30 hours as I believe newly self employed people don't need to meet the earnings threshold for the first 12 months. Please can anyone confirm that this is correct?? Obviously I want my business to be a big success but it's not guaranteed!

Hi? Yep that's correct. You don't need to meet earnings for the first 12 months of setting up.

@fruitsalad87 That's good to know, so do you show nothing at all? You just say you're self employed and that's it?
