My daughter is 2 years 3 months old and started nursery last week
It's a term time setting pre school type nursery that runs 8.45-2.45 and she is signed up for Monday Tuesday and Fridays
Last week she managed her one hour settling in and then a morning session 8.45-11.45 but was on and off upset the whole time
Monday she managed 8,45-2.45 but was upset at points
Tuesday we got called to collect her at 1.30 as she wasn't eating and was crying a lot
Today I had a call at 11am to say she feels hot but there thermometer isn't working so they can't tell me her temp and she has been upset all morning and will someone collect her which her dad is now
Just feeling a bit disheartened with it all . She was a bit snotty this morning but fine in herself with me and wondering whether she will ever settle as it all feels a bit inconsistent at the moment and she won't learn to get to know the staff and form bonds without consistency.
Is this all just normal ?

Give it time, especially if she's not feeling too well. Better for her to gradually build up than to be there the full day upset the entire time, hungry because she's too unsettled to eat, etc. Some children will only be doing a couple of mornings, still plenty of time to bond with the staff.

Honestly, it will all be fine in a couple of weeks. :)

It's still so early. And if she's feeling under the weather.

My son didn't eat for a good while in nursery tbh but he was just mornings.

If this is her first time in childcare I'd prepare yourself for at least 6 months of constant bugs and temps. It takes all kids a while to settle in and bugs aplenty for first few months/ year. I know it's frustrating but isn't it good they're caring for her? Fwiw my LG's nursery always pre-empt her needing antibiotics before I know

Yeah she didn't have a temperature though
They was doing it my touch and I suspect she was hot from the crying.
36.7 at home and she's been her usual self
