My LO has turned 3 in August so he has joined Nursery since last Thursday and since then he cried every day before go in Nursery - will this get better?

I've seen other kids has gone in without tears and just my LO in tears and it is making me feel guilty as hell but I am trying to stick to my guns. I have put him down 5 mornings but now I am thinking to rein it back to 4 days as I think it is too much for him.

For the note previously he has been going to his grandparents house while I go to work and they have been taking him to places every day.

He loves Nursery as he told me afterwards but he still yet get so upset and in tears before we even left the house.

It is normal and it does get easier!
my LO cried lots on the beginnigg at drop off but had a great time there. It’s just the whole separation goodbye things in the moment but was otherwise fine.
now walks in without even saying goodbye!
he is happy to be the one leaving but still doesn’t like me going anywhere lol.
but he loves his nursery! And gets different experiences than he gets at home.

don’t worry it will be fine :)

@Anni1234 glad your LO was okay especially without saying goodbye haha! I'll just keep saying it will get better to myself then :)

@mrsed1987 Don't think I can keep up for 6 months, already a week in and I am willing to take him out of Nursery just so he doesn't get upset!

Yes it definitely does get better!
when he cried loads his teachers wouldn’t get in touch once he was settled for my peace of mind, it was honestly within 5 minutes usually!
either photos or video of him Laughing/playing etc!

Also, my DS used to cry when I picked him up too. But I used to sneak in at first and see him having a great time! Laughing, playing, cuddling his teachers - he would only start crying once he saw me lol. So I know he has a great time - just not into goodbyes lol and just crying when he sees me - never did it with DH though!
