Does dd need name tapes for nursery?

I know her beakers and stuff need labels, and I'll put tapes in things like hats and coats that get taken on and off a lot, but what about the rest of her clothes, given that poo explosions / dinner smearing etc may necessitate complete changes...

I didn't put tapes in my dd's clothes - and she always comes home in a change of clothes (toxic poo explosions !). The dirty clothes are sent back to me in a nappy bag in her rucksack at the end of the day.

She has a wee peg with her name on it for her coat

I think it depends on the nursery - my friend says that her ds's socks always seem to go missing but that she has lots of new pairs!!!

I wouldn't have thought so, only things that get removed often, so cardis would and hats and coats as you've mentioned.

I would think that a spare set of clothes would stay in the bag (so wouldn't get lost), and dirty ones would get tucked away too.

Oh, and there doesn't seem to be much variation in shoes, so maybe worth a sticker inside.

oh good
not sure I could face nametapes in socks...

YES PLEASE!!!!!!

Dosn't have to be name tapes -an indelible ink pen or laundry maker will do-put the initials on the label!!!

We waste SO much time at nursery searching for similar coats the same shoes or a parent goes home with another childs coat as someones DD has the same sort.

It's difficult enough for you as mums to keep on top of where the clothes are without someone else heading off with them (in error)
